We in the San Diego chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America are on a mission to end one of life’s cruelest illnesses.

Huntington's disease is a genetically caused brain disorder that systematically robs people of their ability to walk, talk, eat, and think. Eventually, people with Huntington's become totally dependent up on others. There is no effective treatment or cure.

We offer hope. Our award-winning chapter supports affected individuals and their families, raises public awareness, and funds research towards a cure. On this website you can learn about our challenges and goals, including the stories of people’s brave struggles against the disease and dedicated researchers’ quest for scientific advances.
